Yemen Microfinance Network (YMN) held tow focus group discussion in its head quarter. They were conducted in 20th and 22nd March 2016. The two focus groups were aimed at discussing a leasing product which is currently being developed by YMN in partnership with Global Communities.
The focus groups discussion brought together several representatives of member MFIS and local and international organization as well as representatives from the private sector.
The groups discussed the key challenges facing the young entrepreneurs and how to enhance the value chain of Microfinance and connect the chain from working youth, financial services providers, private sector and business and others in order to work on developing a product that is fit to specific needs of the youth whether now with the ongoing crisis or if a cease fire is reached.
The focus groups also considered the 13 training areas of the MENA YES Program by Global Communities in which the organization trained 560 graduates in the 13 areas and what would be their financial needs and equipment and how they may benefit from the leasing of their equipment or appliances to start their business.
